Chef Freeman E. Gunnell III is a classically trained chef, pastry chef, culinary educator, and international culinary tour host with more than 30 years of experience in fine dining, baking, pastry arts, and culinary instruction. His training spans the School for American Chefs at Beringer Vineyards in Napa Valley, Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, and Schoolcraft College's culinary program, with mentorship under renowned chefs including Wolfgang Puck, Jimmy Schmidt, and Madeleine Kamman.
Freeman leads luxury culinary tours throughout Europe and serves as a private chef for exclusive wellness retreats. He also hosts intimate farm-to-table dinners, culinary events, and discovery-style dinners at his northern Michigan home, where guests gather around the table for delicious meals and meaningful conversation, alongside his wife, Megan.
