The waters of Lake Michigan and nearby rivers (including the Betsie and Platte) are bordered by incredible scenery including areas within the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. They also include uninhabited islands, picturesque fishing villages, and crystal clear water. 

Kayaking, canoeing, SUP boarding and even kiteboarding are some of the popular watersport activities. And for those who prefer to sail into the bay, or ride along in a boat, the waters of Lake Michigan, Crystal Lake and the numerous other inland lakes are all options.
