Is wine tasting on the Traverse Wine Coast on your bucket list? Winter, spring, summer or fall, you choose the season and we will provide the events! They happen year-round on the Leelanau Peninsula and the Wineries of Old Mission Peninsula wine trails.
Bundle up in the winter and sip wines around a cozy fire during Winter Warm Up on the Old Mission Peninsula. Love Riesling? Get in a little romance and learn more about this popular variety at February’s Romancing the Riesling.
May is the big month for wine events in Traverse City. Established as Michigan Wine Month, we have 31 days to celebrate the region’s grapes and wines! Traverse City Uncorked features special events with winemakers, discounted lodging packages as well as unique opportunities to sample local foods and wines together.
Early summer at the wineries brings the much-anticipated new releases from the prior year’s vintage, as well as several popular wine events. “Rosé Between the Bays” on the Old Mission Peninsula takes place the first Saturday in June, and is dedicated to a quintessential summer wine: rose! Across West Grand Traverse Bay, the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail celebrates the season with its “Small Plates” event each August, pairing gourmet tapas with wine.
Fall is a busy time at the vineyards and tasting rooms. Visitors can often see the grapes being pressed into wine during their autumn tasting tour, and the spectacular fall color on the Leelanau and Old Mission peninsulas is beyond breathtaking.
Additional wine trail events are on the calendar below. Cheers!
