Most likely you’ve heard about the wineries and breweries in Traverse City. But have you heard about the distilled spirits? The northern climate that grapes and hops thrive in is also well-suited for wheat, corn and barley. The basic ingredients for whiskey and vodka. Add in the cherries, and other fruits grown up here, and now you have a variety of spirits available. 

From the light fruit brandies produced by local wineries to the small-batch vodkas, whiskeys and gins made by our area’s distilleries, there’s a handful of options to raise a glass.
