Chef Myles Anton is best known as the co-founder and culinary force behind Trattoria Stella in Traverse City, Michigan. After beginning his cooking career in Detroit at age 16 and rising through sous chef roles, Anton helped open Trattoria Stella in 2004, shaping it into a destination for bold, ingredient-driven Italian cooking rooted in Northern Michigan’s farms and seasons.
At Stella, Anton leads a daily-changing menu built around relationships with more than 45 local growers, emphasizing simplicity, integrity, and peak-season flavor. His commitment to regional sourcing and soulful Italian cuisine has earned him five James Beard Award nominations and recognition from the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, and other national outlets.
