Loghan Call

Chef & Owner, Planted Cuisine
| Regenerative Chef |Food as Medicine Advocate & Community Builder

Loghan Call has owned and operated Planted Cuisine for the past eleven years, from Southern California to the Ozarks, ultimately putting down roots in Traverse City. Over the years, the business has taken many forms, evolving into a company focused primarily on private chef services and intimate catering experiences.

Before entering the culinary world, Loghan worked in media, a background that continues to shape his approach to food through the art of storytelling.

His transition into food was sparked by studying our agricultural and food systems, particularly the relationship between soil health, human health, and our ability to thrive. That journey led him to a philosophy centered on regenerative agriculture, regionally sourcing, and food as medicine.

While the culinary world often emphasizes sourcing from the perspective of flavor and quality, Loghan’s work explores the deeper impact of sourcing on personal health, local economies, ecosystems, and community resilience.

At the heart of it all, he sees food as a vehicle for connection. Whether through private dinners, retreats, or shared tables, his work is rooted in bringing people together through nourishment, conversation, and illumination of what is possible moving forward.
