Celina Tio is a James Beard Award-winning chef, entrepreneur, and restaurateur based in Kansas City. After earning national acclaim at The American Restaurant (including Chef Magazine’s 2005 Chef of the Year and James Beard’s 2007 Best Chef: Midwest), she launched JULIAN, her own neighborhood bistro, and became a familiar face on Top Chef Masters and Iron Chef America. In 2014, she opened The Belfry, a cozy Crossroads spot known for its whiskey collection and elevated comfort food. Since then, she’s expanded her footprint with Gerard’s Pool Hall, ANNX Spirits Co., and Ground Control, the sleek tasting room for her award-winning spirits. Most recently, she debuted Wolf Den, a stunning mid-century modern event space filled with original design pieces from legends like Warren Platner.
