The Salmon fishing in the Grand Traverse Bays picks up in Mid-July and lasts until mid- October most years. These Salmon seem to bite best in the early hours, so wake up earlier and be ready for to fight the fish of a lifetime. It does not take long to get to the fishing grounds in Grand Traverse Bay, the Chinook or King Salmon is stocked in the Boardman River.
