The Pearl Lake Natural Area is an incredible place to explore, bird, and kayak. The lake has many deep lobes where waterfowl, birds, plants, and animals can be observed, including sandhill cranes who often utilize Pearl Lake. The lake is best accessed by the DNR boat launch on its north end. The Pearl Lake property is also part of a larger state owned forest that can be accessed and explored on foot or via rugged dirt roads. Please note there are no formal marked trails.
