Medalie Park

  • About

Located on 15 acres this park is on the south side of Boardman Lake. Take a walk along the path and look for wildlife at one of the three overlooks along the Boardman. This park is also known to attract a diverse amount of birds. Over 160 species of birds have been logged here. All seasons enjoy good birding, and about the only birds not commonly found here are shorebirds (there are no mudflats or shallows). In the spring during migration, the Warbler variety can be fantastic. In winter, the mostly iced over lake concentrates the waterfowl near the south end of the lake for easy viewing.
