  • About

After three incredible years, the International Fireworks Championship will return in 2026, promising another unforgettable weekend of world-class fireworks. The championship made its debut in 2023 with an unforgettable lineup featuring teams from Germany, Mexico, France, and the USA, establishing itself as one of the most exciting fireworks showcases anywhere. Germany swept the competition, taking home both the audience choice and judges’ choice awards.

In 2024, the competition grew larger, welcoming teams from Australia, the United Kingdom, India, the Philippines, Finland, and the USA. Each night had its own audience-voted winner—Team Finland electrified the crowd with a Finnish Techno finale on night one, while Team India captured hearts on night two with a Bollywood-inspired spectacle. The judges’ choice award for overall best display went to Team United Kingdom, dazzling spectators with a breathtaking showcase of pyrotechnic artistry.

The 2025 championship proved even more spectacular, with teams from China, Poland, Serbia, Portugal, Canada, and the USA. Over two nights, audiences were treated to stunning creativity and technical brilliance, reaffirming this event as one of the premier fireworks competitions in the world. Team USA won the audience choice on night one, Portugal took the honor on night two, and Team Poland captured the coveted judges’ choice award.

Looking ahead to 2026, another lineup of incredible teams from across the globe will gather in Traverse City for an epic battle for fireworks supremacy. Stay tuned for announcements on event dates and competing teams.
