Hands down, shooting proposals is one of my favorite things to do. I love the planning, the surprise, and the excitement of that special moment. I love capturing the smiles and happy tears. And I love having northern Michigan as the backdrop for it all.

In the Flowers
Lavender fields and winery views…yes please! From the sweeping deck overlooking the vines to the purple blooms in summer, Brys Estate is a photographer’s dream.
At the Dunes
What could be more beautiful than Sleeping Bear Dunes and Lake Michigan? In any season, the Empire Bluff Trail is a jaw-dropper. (And, it’s perfect for couples who love the great outdoors!)
Under the Winter Lights
I love capturing love and falling snow. There are dozens of places to find beautiful winter lights around town…these are at the entrance of the Grand Traverse Mall.
With a Bottle of Wine
Mari Vineyards, another stunning winery, is an Old Mission Peninsula gem that lends an old world, Italian vibe that is so, so romantic. Celebrating with a bottle of wine after the proposal is a must.
Down by the Bay
Now Blue Water Bistro, when I took these, this space was called French Valley Vineyards. But no matter the name, the bay blues and cloudless skies capture the essence of a summer proposal up north.
