Silver Birch Resort

  • About

Silver Birch Resort is northern Michigan’s premier luxury resort. Each site has 780 square feet of living space residing on a 1,700 square foot deck with majestic views. We will be adding four additional dome homes for the 2024 season. Guests will enjoy a sixteen-foot-tall geodesic dome structure fully furnished with exotic furniture and all the comforts of home. Just a few steps from the dome are private bathrooms (no shared communal bathhouses here) complete with a bathtub/shower, vanity, and toilet as well as a kitchen with a full-size refrigerator. The kitchenette has a hot plate and cabinetry stocked with dishes, pans, and cutlery. Both structures have electricity and air conditioning. Just outside is a barbecue, hammock, and fire pit. Five of our sites have an additional outdoor bathtub. The outdoor bathtub is private and positioned so you can enjoy a relaxing bath while listening to the dulcet sounds of nature. We provide all the essentials for a comfortable and relaxing northern Michigan experience. Note: our sites offer three times the square footage of a typical hotel room. Neighboring accommodations range from 80′ to 300′ away, providing privacy you will not find at a traditional hotel or resort. Silver Birch Resort resides on seventy-five acres of private land and is surrounded on three sides by state forest, you will be relaxing in luxury while enjoying pristine northern Michigan forestry. We have gone to great lengths to preserve the pristine nature of this beautiful land. We often see families of deer, raccoons, porcupines, coyotes, and the occasional bear will pass through. And you can expect to see and hear all the bird species calling northern Michigan home. You are welcome to wander the seventy-five acres or hike the surrounding thousands of acres of state land. The trails go for miles and miles. We are located just a few miles outside of Traverse City. You are only minutes away from the finest beaches, restaurants, golfing, wineries, and shopping. We are only three miles from the Great Lakes Equestrian Show (also called the Traverse City Horse Show & Flintfields Equestrian Center) and two miles from Turtle Creek Casino.
