Six miles north of Traverse City, on the Old Mission Peninsula, sits the charming 19th century one-room schoolhouse tasting room of Peninsula Cellars. Owned and operated by the Kroupa family since 1994, Peninsula Cellars focuses on producing regionally expressive wines, with minimal handling and impact on the environment. The Kroupa family has been working the land for six generations, giving a uniquely long-term perspective to their environmentally verified vineyards and orchards. Specializing in Gewürztraminer and Riesling, Peninsula Cellars also offers a number of award-winning red wines, white wines, fruit wines, and hard cider.
