West Bay Beach, a Delamar Resort

If you hear music drifting over the water on Grand Traverse Bay, chances are it’s originating from West Bay Beach, a Delamar Resort. Located at the mouth of the Boardman River, at the edge of downtown Traverse City, the resort draws guests and visitors as much for its regular entertainment as its amenities. “We’re well known for our quality and variety of entertainment,” explains Kelly Jo Bowman, Director of Sales. “Our View Nightclub is the largest in Traverse City, offering live music and entertainment from almost every genre…blues, jazz, and rock. In the summer, our outdoor patio is open six days a week, with live acts playing feel-good, summertime music.”

The resort’s convenient location and considerable amenities are also music to many guests’ ears. Situated right on the bay, the resort has a long expanse of sugar sand beach, perfect for long strolls or splashing in the waves. The resort has partnered with equipment outfitters, so guests can rent everything from kayaks and paddleboards to wave runners and powerboats. When not enjoying the sun, surf and sand, guests can relax in an outdoor pool or heated indoor pool. “You really get the full Traverse City experience here,” states Bowman. “A long stretch of beach and beautiful views…what more could you want?”

Don’t answer that…because West Bay Beach, a Delamar Resort definitely offers more. In addition to being within walking distance to popular downtown restaurants, the resort has two restaurants of its own. Bistro is an open and airy eatery offering a variety of breakfast items, including pastries, bagels, and more. Dayclub offers indoor and outdoor dining for both lunch and dinner.

Given all this, it’s easy to see why West Bay Beach, a Delamar Resort draws so many and such a variety of guests. “We get families with young kids, couples, sports teams, corporate business…everyone has a reason for staying here,” says Bowman. “Some want a `home base’ for seeing what all the area has to offer. Some want an all-inclusive business hotel. And some just want a place on the water where they can enjoy an amazing `Up North’ experience. We really do have something for everyone.”
