Sugar Beach Resort Hotel
The Sugar Beach Resort is, of course, named for the sugar sand beaches that await guests just outside their doors. It also speaks to the many sweet memories guests make here, thanks in large part to the many natural and manmade amenities that the resort has to offer.
For starters, there’s the beach itself. With over 300’ of bay frontage (when you include its sister property, Grand Beach Resort), the resort provides plenty of room for leisurely strolls on the sand, family beach combing, or simply swimming and chilling out.
Once inside, the resort continue to impress. It recently underwent a $3 million renovation, which is immediately apparent. The rooms have a wide-open feel, due to the fact that they’re actually 1.5’ wider than similar resort rooms. The walls and carpets are done in tasteful greens and blues, reflecting the beauty of the bay. Every room has several thoughtful amenities, including a 50” TV, microwave, and refrigerator, to name a few.
One of the hallmarks of the resort is its consistently attentive service. Many of its staff members have been with the resort for 10 years or more. The management team is tenured and some have been here 20 years or more. The resort’s commitment to its staff and a higher standard of service keeps guests coming back, year after year.
Want to know the real magic of staying at the Sugar Beach Resort Hotel? General Manager, Justin Mortier, has personal experience in this regard. “There’s a special time of evening here,” he explains. “It’s about 7:00 in the summer…people are getting off the water to go to dinner. The bay calms down…the beach empties. You can walk on the beach in virtual silence, feeling like it’s your own little piece of heaven. The moment’s all yours.”
