    Michigan's Sleeping Bear Birding Trail follows highway M-22, 123 miles of scenic roadway along the Lake Michigan shoreline from Manistee County to Leelanau County. The Trail is home to the Piping Plover, one of Michigan's most endangered birds. The diverse habitat, significant public access, and many miles of shoreline make the Sleeping Bear Birding Trail a birder’s paradise.
