Uncork Up North at the Hagerty Garage

For the first time ever, Uncork for a Cure will travel to Traverse City to bring their signature event, Uncork Up North to the highly exclusive Hagerty Garage. To spark change, draw inspiration, and embrace the power of what a community can do together, the team is partnering with owner and advanced sommelier, Amanda Danielson of Trattoria Stella and nationally renowned and first woman Master Sommelier in the United States, Madeline Triffon of Plum Market alongside the best chefs in Northern Michigan. Detroit-based artist and designer, Mike Han is bringing his talents to Traverse City as he creates and auctions a painting to support the Uncork cause.

Participating restaurants include Trattoria Stella, Cooks House, Crocodile Palace La Becasse and Artisan. This strolling dinner will feature dishes from these restaurants with wine hand-picked by Michigan sommeliers featuring Northern Michigan wineries and also rare wines from collectors. 

In addition, a 1957 Pink Thunderbird convertible, “Pinky” will be on display throughout the event, dedicated by The Hagerty Family, in honor of Kim Hagerty, who passed away in 2021.

To date, Uncork for a Cure has raised over $2,000,000. The Dynami Foundation continues to advance the fight against breast cancer, specifically Lobular breast cancer research, which accounts for 15% of all breast cancers yet only 1% of research funding is directed to this common subtype. The Dynami Foundation also believes in giving back locally. 

One of the event’s sponsors is Williams Chevrolet in partnership with Hagerty Garage. A portion of proceeds will benefit Traverse City’s Cowell Family Cancer Center to create a fund for women who have a great financial need impacted by Breast Cancer.
