Darkness gathers early and Halloween is right around the corner. What better time to bring a flashlight and join local historians for a fascinating night-time glimpse into the history of Traverse City and its people? You'll see the graves of Traverse City founding father, Perry Hannah; Civil War veterans (including the grave of a Confederate soldier); historic jewish and Catholic sections and the final resting place of many who lived out their lives at the Traverse City State Hospital.
The tours will start just inside the cemetery across from the Eighth Street Fire Station. Please park in the cemetery just inside the fence.
Groups of eight or more should pre-register by calling 231-995-0313.
