Come and tour the oldest frame building in the area! The Dougherty Mission house was built in 1842 by the Reverend Peter Dougherty, a Presbyterian minister, with the help of a local Chippewa village headed by Chief Aghosa. The Mission taught religion, English, carpentry and blacksmithing to the native population. Your tour includes a look inside the house, summer kitchen, carriage shed, ice house and unique outhouse. Group tours are also available; check the website for details. For more information, please click here.
