  • About

The Glen Arbor Players are delighted to announce a seasoned and exceptional cast for their next play, Private Lives. This rollicking comedy was a Broadway hit written by Noel Coward that was first performed in 1931. The play is considered one of the most sophisticated, entertaining and uniquely humorous plays ever written.

Noel Coward’s Private Lives , a 1930 comedy of manners in three acts, is one of the most sophisticated, entertaining and uniquely humorous plays ever written. Elyot and Amanda, once married and now honeymooning with new spouses at the same hotel, meet by chance, reignite the old spark and impulsively elope. After days of being reunited, they again find their fiery romance alternating between passions of love and anger. Their aggrieved spouses appear and new partnerships are formed.

The play debuted on Broadway in 1931,  became a film the same year, and has been adapted several times for television and radio over the years. C
