  • About

The annual “Alden Run” with 5k, 10k and 2 mile walk events takes place this year on Saturday July 27th. Events start west of the Community Center up the hill from downtown Alden. Each course follows a separate route, with all finishing in town on Franklin Street, behind the Methodist Church. The two-mile course for walkers is on paved roads and is stroller friendly.

Pre-registration for all events is open online until July 25th at 11:59 PM. The cost is $25.00. Those registering before July 8th are guaranteed one of our much sought after t-shirts. This year’s shirt was designed by local middle school student Lewis Smith, winner of the Alden Run Design contest held by area school’s art departments.

Late registration opens at 12:01 AM July 26th and will continue until 8:45 AM Saturday July 27th.The cost is $30.00. Packet pick-up is Friday July 26th, 4 – 6 PM and Saturday morning July 27th, 7:30-8:45 AM at the Community Center. All events begin at 9 AM July 27th.

Our Awards Ceremony follows the run and is held in town at the open space between Paradise Properties and Nifty Things. Eight trophies are awarded to overall male and female runners and master male and female winners in both the 5K and 10K races. Prizes are also awarded for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place male & female participants in each age division.
