The fun kicks off on Friday evening with an exciting Nite-Crawler Hunt.

    • When: Dusk (approximately 9:30 PM)
    • Where: Frankfort Mineral Springs Park pavilion
    • What to Bring: Flashlights and a bucket for your worms.

The evening will begin with a short story, "Where Worms Come From," setting the stage for the hunt, which starts promptly at 9:45 PM, rain or shine. A & M Worms has generously donated worms for the hunt, and members of the NW Fishing Club will be on hand to assist. The NW Fishing Club also assembled 100 fishing rods, graciously donated by the Frankfort Rotary Willoughby Foundation, which will be distributed to participating kids.

The main event, a full day of fishing, begins bright and early on Saturday.

    • When: 8:00 AM, rain or shine
    • Where: Frankfort Mineral Springs Park

Kids can register for a chance to win exciting prizes, including two fully loaded tackle boxes donated by the Mead Family, as well as other free fishing gear. Participants must be present to win at the 11:00 AM drawing.

Following the drawing, a free pizza party will be held, courtesy of Frankfort A. Papano’s Pizza, with cool-pops and cookies provided by Family Fare and the Community Spirit Food Source.

Every Child Goes Home with a Rod!

Every child who attends the "Take a Kid Fishing" event will receive a free fishing rod! If a child has received a rod in previous years, they are encouraged to bring it back. Free patches and other items will also be distributed. For those who didn't participate in the Nite-Crawler Hunt, free worms will be provided for a successful day of fishing.
