About

Oliver Art Center opens its 2026 Exhibition calendar with "SPECTRUM". While most art involves color in some way, for this exhibition, we have asked our participating artists to submit artwork that makes it immediately evident to viewers that color is the major player in the work, regardless of whether that palette is soft and subtle or bold and noisy. Brochures will be provided for viewers to learn about various color schemes, the role color plays in composition, and how color can affect the interpretation or emotional impact of the work. Visitors will be encouraged to move through the exhibition space slowly, considering these concepts in a way that will hopefully provide a deeper appreciation for the role color plays in art!

Works on display will include a wide variety of media and styles from regional artists.
