"Run for the Roses" Derby Party fundraiser

Get ready for an evening of Kentucky Derby excitement with a purpose! Leelanau Christian Neighbors (LCN) invites the community to its "Run for the Roses" Derby Party fundraiser on Thursday, May 1, 2025, starting at 6:00 pm. The festive event will be held at the picturesque Mountain Flower Lodge at The Homestead Resort in Glen Arbor, Michigan.

Guests will enjoy the thrill of the Kentucky Derby, complete with delicious food and drinks, lively music, and the anticipation of the "greatest two minutes in sports"—all while directly supporting LCN's crucial programs. Attendees are encouraged to embrace the Derby spirit and don their most stylish hats and bow ties.

Adding a unique and engaging twist to the fundraising efforts, LCN will feature a spirited hobby horse race. Each hobby horse will champion a specific LCN program, and their progress on the track will be determined by community donations. The more support a program receives, the faster its hobby horse will gallop toward the finish line! This interactive race promises friendly competition, with all proceeds benefiting LCN's ongoing commitment to assisting Leelanau County residents facing hardship. Individuals who cannot attend the Derby Party but want to “place a bet” on a hobby horse, can do so here.

Tickets for the "Run for the Roses" Derby Party are available for $75 per person and can be purchased online.
