Free Music In the Air Summer Concert Lineup at the Old Art Building

    Northern Michigan residents and visitors are invited to enjoy free live
     music all summer long on the lawn of the Old Art Building in Leland.

    The OAB’s fourth season of the
     Music in the Air summer concert series will feature 12 bands, all with different musical styles and
     moods. The 2024 Stage Sponsor is the Robin Vilter Group. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn
     chairs or blankets and a picnic dinner.

     June 27 and Friends delivers captivating melodies and lyric with quick wit that’s met with both
     power-driven undertones of upbeat pop and modern-folk.

     June 30 @4pm:BIGFUNwithJeff Haas andFriends
     Genres range from funk, to jazz, world music and a touch of bluegrass. With multiple
     composers in the group, each musician influences the band's unique sound.

     July 11 @ 7pm:Mulebone
     Mulebone is a musical partnership comprising multi-instrumentalist John Ragusa and
     roots music specialist Hugh Pool. The grist for their mill is traditional blues.

     July 18 @ 7pm:TheXtraCrisp
     A blend of original songs plus covers of the band’s favorite songs, presented with their
     ownunique footprint and crossing numerous genres and eras.

    July 28 @ 4pm:Josh Rose
     Josh’s songs are plucked from the air, like lightning bugs destined for an old Mason jar.
     They come wrapped in brown paper with an old twine ribbon.

     August 1 @7pm:OnTheLash
     In honor of Irish traditional music, On The Lash creates timeless sounds through original
     voices with new takes on classic songs and original constructions of standards.

     August 8 @7pm:Elizabeth Landry Trio
     Elizabeth can be seen playing with her trio including Caul Bluhm and Joe Wilson. You are
     sure to get lost in Elizabeth’s sweet, smoky melodies, and storytelling lyrics.

     August 15 @7pm:Barefoot!
     Acoustic roots and soul tunes led by the incomparable vocals of Jenni Rae. Good vibes and

     August 22 @7pm:Charlie Millard
     Based in Americana with thought-provoking lyrics/poetry, Charlie Millard Band strives to
     give you a musical experience, “like small movies for the ears.”
     August 29 @7PM:Jazz North
     Jazz North is a little Big Band comprising professional musicians that play classic swing,
     Latin, funk, blues, ballads, originals, and ‘danceable jazz.’
     September 1 @4PM:Benzie Playboys
     K. Jones & The Benzie Playboys bring the roots sound of southwest Louisiana’s Creole,
     Cajun, and Zydeco scene to the Great Lakes area
