The City of Frankfort and the Frankfort Police Department have planned a ghostly day for our community's little goblins this year. On October 31st, the City will be having Halloween on Main Street between 4th Street and 6th Street from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This will provide the little ones with a great trick or treat experience and help keep our residents safe.
Main Street will be blocked off between 4th Street and 6th Street so that vehicles can easily participate in the Frankfort-Elberta Area Chamber of Commerce's Trunk or Treat, also from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on October 31st on Main Street. Feel free to decorate your cars to make the event festive. Starting at 2:00 PM on October 31st, vehicles will be allowed in the blocked off streets to allow for Trunk or Treat parking. Volunteers will be on-site guiding vehicle parking. If you plan on participating in Truck or Treat, please RSVP by calling (231) 352-7251 or emailing email@example.com.
The City of Frankfort and the Frankfort Police Department are discouraging children from going door to door this year. For those insisting on opening your doors for Halloween (again, this is not the City’s recommendation), please follow Halloween MDHHS tips:
Use duct tape in front of your home to mark six foot distancing
Position a distribution table between you and the children
Distribute candy on a disinfected table to eliminate direct contact
