Come share the holiday spirit at the lighthouse! Each room will be decorated in a Christmas theme reminiscent of the years between 1858 and 1880. Enjoy the decorations and learn about the lighthouse keepers who kept the light burning including the story of our only female lighthouse keeper. Actors in period costumes will greet and educate you. Learn also about the history of the Christmas Tree Ship Rouse Simmons, which sank in Lake Michigan in 1912.
If you visit on December 7, you'll also be able to enjoy a modern-day Santa's Workshop between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM along with cookie decorating, ornament-making, games, a holiday campfire, hot cocoa bar and a visit with the old elf himself!
