Zingerman’s Food Tours presents a tour of Grand Traverse Bay led by Chef Kieron Hales, executive chef and co-owner of Zingerman's Cornman Farms.
Grand Traverse Bay’s microclimate provides optimal conditions for some of the best farms, orchards, and wineries in the Midwest, all of which fuel the area’s flourishing food and wine scene. Chef Hales’ tour will invite guests to enjoy behind-the-scenes access to some of the region’s most respected restaurants, farms, and craftsmen in the area.
The itinerary includes: - Dining experiences at local favorites: The Cooks' House, Red Ginger, Wren, The Little Fleet, and 9 Bean Rows - Visits to a couple of our favorite wineries, Left Foot Charley and Mawby, plus an apple and cider tasting at Tandem Ciders - Going behind the scenes at some of our favorite food producers including Leelanau Cheese, Light of Day Organics, Food for Thought, Harwood Gold Pure Maple Syrup, and the Great Lakes Potato Chip Factory - An evening sail under the stars on Grand Traverse Bay - A true farm-to-table experience at Loma Farm with time spent in the fields and dinner under the stars - Three nights at Traverse City's premier downtown hotel, Hotel Indigo
