Blind Tasting Thursday

Winemaker Robert Brengman and cellar assistant Ryan Tompke have developed the wine program at Brengman’s to showcase the Leelanau terroir with an old-world spirit that, through time, have become the benchmark for the region. The focus and consistency of the program is showing results in the competition arena with several best of show, double gold, and gold medals based on what the judges taste and score. The event will focus on Chardonnay by tasting four wines - three from wine regions outside of Michigan, with a fourth from the Brengman portfolio. Guests are invited to taste and analyze each wine blindly, scoring and noting observations on the crib sheets provided. Tally of the scores will be revealed at the end of the tasting and discussion of the wines will take place while sharing food designed by Executive Chef Josh Morrison specifically paired with the featured wine style.
