    September 18, 2025 ⸺ January 4, 2026

The Great Lakes Water Studies Institute (GLWSI) at Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) is advancing freshwater, groundwater, and marine science through cutting-edge technology, education, and research. This exhibit highlights NMC students’ hands-on work with remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), sonar mapping, and groundwater sampling. Through technical training, students are prepared to enter the workforce and contribute to the responsible use and understanding of aquatic natural resources. Explore how GLWSI train the next generation of water stewards in northern Michigan.
