2896 Langley Vertical Wine Tasting Dinner – May 13

Bowers Harbor Vineyards is partnering with The Boathouse Restaurant to create a unique opportunity that showcases our most prized red wine label, 2896 Langley. As part of our celebration of Michigan Wine Month, we have partnered with the Wineries of Old Mission Peninsula (WOMP) to host a special one-night food & wine pairing event. 


Traverse City March for Babies – May 6

Lace up your sneakers and join the March of Dimes on Saturday, May 6th for the March for Babies! Over 300 walkers will gather to take the 3-mile stroll along the parks and downtown Traverse City.

Shanty 2 Short’s 5k, 10k & Fun Run – May 13

Join us for the 6th Annual Shanty-to-Short’s 5K • 10K • Fun Run!

Tails to Trails 5k Fun Run/Walk – May 20

Join us with your four-pawed friends on Saturday, May 20th, at the Vasa Pathway for the 8th Annual Tails to Trails! This 5K fun run/walk on the scenic Vasa Pathway is a unique opportunity to mingle with other dog owners and experience the trails with your canine friend. All proceeds benefit TART Trails.

Bayshore Marathon – May 27

An annual spring run up the Old Mission Peninsula - one of the world's most beautiful marathon settings - that attracts more than 7,000 runners. Half-marathon and 10k runs are also offered.



Lil’ Ed and the Blue Imperials – May 6

Seth Bernard and Mark Lavengood with Max Lockwood and Janga Special Guest: The Lil Smokies – May 24

Mark Lavengood and Seth Bernard come together for a night of bluegrass and folk featuring the joint release of their newest works. Bassist Max Lockwood (Big Dude RO) and drummer Janga (Vox Vidorra) join Bernard and Lavengood plus special guests, The Lil Smokies open the show.


Empire Asparagus Festival – May 20

The lakeshore village of Empire greets the arrival of asparagus season with a 5K run, a recipe contest, games, a parade, food and - of all things - an annual oral poetry contest for the best "Ode to Asparagus."

Antrim County Petoskey Stone Festival – May 27
