Hello, February! The shortest month of the year is definitely not the quietest month in Traverse City. From sun-up to sundown, there's a selection of activities and events for the beginning, middle and end of the day. Get Outside!

North American Vasa Festival of Races - Feb. 10 & Feb. 11 
Now in its 42nd year this two-day festival of races features free style, fat bike and classic cross country ski competitions. Race distances vary and there are also events for the casual skier. 

Old Mission Snowshoe Wine & Brew - Occurs weekly on Sundays 
Warm up and cool down on a snowshoe wine and beer tour. Pack the snowshoes, a few extra layers and head up to the Old Mission Peninsula. Park at Jolly Pumpkin to board the TC Brew Bus and start your trek! 

 

Snow Angel 50K - Feb. 24 
Get your fat bike ready! This event is part of the Short's Brewing Fat Series and it features 50k and 25k races for men and women.

Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy - Feb. 10 
Back by popular demand, two of the world’s most celebrated fiddlers, Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy, return with their children. This fierce fiddling duo commands the stage with raw energy and passion that combines their traditional Celtic heritage with their taste for contemporary. 

Michigan House Winter Social - Feb. 17 
Resist the urge to hibernate and come join The Little Fleet for a Winter Social, Presented by Michigan House. Featuring Michigan made music, food, beer, and spirits. Musical acts from around the state will be traveling to perform at the Winter Social.

Taste the Passion - Feb. 10 & 11
It's almost time for the annual food and wine pairing event on the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail. Grab some friends or a significant other and be sure to designate a driver. Tickets are $40 per person for both days and include a souvenir wine glass, wine and food pairings, plus photo contests with super cool prizes. 

Black Star Farms Valentine's Harvest Dinner - Feb. 14 
Impress that special person in your life with a Valentine’s Day inspired menu at the romantic Inn at Black Star Farms. These wine-paired culinary experiences are inspired by the best local, seasonal ingredients. 

Indoor Farmers Market - Weekly on Saturdays 
Head over to the Village at Grand Traverse Commons for this unique indoor shopping experience. Baked goods, cheeses and artisan crafts are all part of the mix of what you may find.
