The holiday season is right around the corner, and here in Traverse City, we’re getting ready to celebrate. Things will look a bit different this year, but there are plenty of fun and safe ways to enjoy these special moments with friends and family.

Here’s a peek at the calendar of events for November and December.

November 20 – 21 << RESCHEDULED TO DECEMBER 12

The season starts out with the Light Parade in downtown Traverse City. The downtown tree lighting and Santa’s arrival will be streamed live on Friday night, followed by a strolling light parade on Saturday from 5 – 9 p.m. Throughout downtown, you’ll find 12 nonprofits displaying their rendition of the popular holiday song “Twelve Days of Christmas.” You can vote for your favorite display for $1, with proceeds benefiting the Downtown Relief Fund and participating nonprofits.

It’s a little early to predict what will happen for larger New Year’s Eve parties, but if you’re a fan of the CherryT Ball Drop that takes place in downtown TC, you can follow their website and Facebook page for updates!
