Five special beer tappings kick-off the start of Traverse City Beer Week today. More than two dozen breweries, taprooms, and cideries offer tastings of craft brews to highlight the creativity of the beverage scene in the region. Traverse City Beer Week begins today and runs through Saturday, November 15th.
A self-guided tour of the breweries is orchestrated through a mobile passport that opens up discounts and incentives. Those who check into five participating locations can earn a Beer Week mesh back cap that is redeemed at the Traverse City Tourism Visitor Center. Guests staying at area lodging partners can enter to win one of two beer-themed prize packages. Each package includes an $850 lodging gift certificate. One prize will include a tour for two with Kayak, Bike, and Brew. The other prize includes a cruise for two aboard the Nauti-Cat.
The Beer Week special releases will be served at Short’s Brewing, Farm Club, Right Brain Brewery, and Workshop Brewing.
“Most of our brewers are capturing local ingredients and finding creative ways to bring forward remarkable flavors,” said Traverse City Tourism President Trevor Tkach (tah-KACH).
