TRAVERSE CITY, MI – The new decade is kicking off changes at Traverse City Tourism. This winter, the Visitor Center will undergo a complete renovation to better welcome guests looking to learn about northern Michigan. The renovation includes replacing the flooring, public restrooms, and visitor desk, as well as cosmetic updates to wall treatments and décor.
TRAVERSE CITY, MI – A hometown girl is back in downtown Traverse City. This January, Jillian Manning joined the Traverse City Tourism team as the public relations/media manager.
Traverse City, MI – Earlier this week Traverse City Tourism welcomed Katy McCain as the newest member to the destination marketing organization. As Business Development Manager, Katy’s new role involves a multitude of high-level responsibilities within the organization, including developing and selling promotional opportunities on behalf of Traverse City Tourism (TCT) and its members.

This week Coastal Living Magazine announced that Traverse City is a contender in the 2018 Top 10 List of the “Happiest Seaside Towns in America.”
TRAVERSE CITY, MI: The snowy town in northwest Michigan celebrates the release of 12 Strong, a film based on New York Times bestselling non-fiction book Horse Soldiers written by Traverse City native Doug Stanton. The movie stars Chris Hemsworth and Academy-Award nominated actor Michael Shannon, and follows the first Special Forces team deployed to Afghanistan following the September 11 attacks. The movie is officially released on January 19th.
