Traverse City, MI – As of next week, the experience of exploring Traverse City becomes easier, and free of charge. The region’s public transportation service, Bay Area Transportation Authority (BATA) integrates its newest routes on June 25. The Bayline will provide visitors with transportation every 15 minutes to the most well-trafficked areas of downtown Traverse City, easing heavy summer traffic, reduce parking conflict, and advocate for Michigan’s natural resources.

Traverse City, MI – Re-establishing itself as one of downtown Traverse City’s full-service properties, Park Place Hotel has recently completed a multitude of contemporary renovations including a fully functioning convention center.

TRAVERSE CITY, MICHIGAN: Known as the Cherry Capital of the World, the cherry blossoms have arrived for their annual spring spectacle throughout Traverse City. Peak blossom time is expected between May 20-25, just in time for seasonal celebrations in the coastal town.

As Business Development Manager, Katy’s new role involves a multitude of high-level responsibilities within the organization, including developing and selling promotional opportunities on behalf of Traverse City Tourism (TCT) and its members.

TRAVERSE CITY, MICHIGAN: In celebration of Michigan Wine Month, vino lovers are invited to enjoy Traverse City Uncorked throughout the entire month of May. The festivities include complimentary wine tastings, discounted lodging packages, winery events and sipping souvenirs for participants.

Traverse City, MI: The coastal town in northwest Michigan known for its cherries, outdoor recreation and vibrant culture is now in the spotlight for how it makes people feel. This week Coastal Living Magazine announced that Traverse City is a contender in the 2018 Top 10 List of the “Happiest Seaside Towns in America.”

TRAVERSE CITY, MI: The snowy town in northwest Michigan celebrates the release of 12 Strong, a film based on New York Times bestselling non-fiction book Horse Soldiers written by Traverse City native Doug Stanton. The movie stars Chris Hemsworth and Academy-Award nominated actor Michael Shannon, and follows the first Special Forces team deployed to Afghanistan following the September 11 attacks. The movie is officially released on January 19th.
