An excellent place to begin any Up North adventure is the Traverse City Visitor Center!

And during the holidays, you can also do your shopping here. We've recently added our beautiful 2013 calendar full of stunning photos -- perfect for that Traverse City lover on your list! Stop by and pick up one (or several!) for only $10.95 plus shipping.

Located at the corner of Grandview Parkway and Union Street, the Visitor Center is operated by the Traverse City Convention & Visitors Bureau Education Foundation. We offer information on area sights and activities, lodging and restaurants.

You'll receive personalized, one-on-one service from one of our wonderful volunteers who stands ready to answer your questions. Visitors are also welcome to browse the racks of our complimentary brochures from area businesses and attractions.

All year long the Visitor Center features exhibits that bring into colorful, three-dimensional focus the area's arts and cultural scene, history, environment and special events. Be sure to stroll through the latest exhibit when you stop by!

For our visitors' convenience, we provide public restrooms, as well as free, short-term parking onsite during the week. On weekends, you are invited to park in the municipal lot across Union Street.

The Visitor Center is also home to the offices of the Traverse City Convention & Visitors Bureau where you may purchase gift certificates good for lodging and golf, as well as Downtown Traverse City vouchers.
