Up here, summers are tailor made for kid-friendly fun. Take in the festivities of the National Cherry Festival, ride bikes along Grand Traverse Bay via miles of paved trails, attend a Traverse City Beach Bums baseball game, or hike up (and roll down!) the famous Sleeping Bear Dunes. And don't forget about those lazy, hazy beach days!

Falls are all about visits to the apple orchard, hay rides, blueberry picking, and maybe even getting lost in a corn maze. Gather up crimson and yellow leaves to take home and press in a book.

Ski, board or tube during the snowy months. Build a giant snowman and then come in from the cold to catch a kids' flick at the historic State Theatre, paint your own pottery, or learn about our most precious resource at the Great Lakes Children's Museum.

Watch the Earth come alive each spring as you take a hike among the cherry blossoms or tour a lighthouse. Be sure to take the whole family to the Boardman River Nature Center (pictured below) while you're here!
